Found a plumber marked Available now on iHire. I called and they could come straight over.

I checked their profile on iHire first. The technician told me what needed fixing and what it would cost.
A leak that can’t wait, a breaker that keeps tripping or a clean you need today. Here’s how finding someone could go.
Fictional examples of using iHire.
“The pipe under my sink started leaking just before lunch. I found a plumber on iHire who’d marked themselves Available now. I called, and they said they could come straight over. The leak was fixed before I had to pick up the kids.”
“Our breaker kept tripping, so I read a few reviews on iHire and called a local electrician. She showed me what was wrong and told me the price before she started. I appreciated that she took the time to explain it.”
“I had family coming over and needed the place cleaned that day. I found a team that covered my area on iHire and called from their profile. They fit me in that afternoon. The crew were friendly and asked me to check the rooms before they left. I’d call them again.”
Businesses report their own availability. Confirm the arrival time directly when you get in touch.
Show people what you do and where you work. If a job finishes early, let nearby customers know you may have time for another one.
We’re developing discovery around a Business’s current service area, so work nearby can lead to a relevant introduction. Moving Business GPS and in-app quote conversations are planned, not live yet.
A Business could choose to share its approximate working area while moving between jobs. Customers would not see a live route or the address of the home being visited.
A plumber working on an estate could appear higher in relevant plumbing searches nearby. The category, search location, promotion and availability would still matter. Paying would never reserve a permanent place at the top.
The planned inquiry flow would let a customer describe the work and ask the Business about price or timing. Being nearby would not mean the Business is free to attend. Both sides would still agree the details.

Prices in US dollars (USD). First-listing offer shown against $9.99. A paid subscription never guarantees first place or a constant top position. Existing subscriptions are not automatically repriced. *Promotion requires an approved listing and a current paid period. Available now lasts up to 30 minutes and requires a current paid period after payment; a free introductory period does not qualify. Analytics access is independent of payment; unavailable metrics are labeled. Subscription checkout and provider activation are not live on this website.
Yes. Search by service and area, open a Business profile and explore the contact options shown. You can choose an area yourself or allow approximate location to help narrow the search.
Promoted means the listing has paid search visibility. Available now means the Business has said it may be able to help; confirm directly before making plans. Neither label proves ownership or professional qualifications. Those checks are separate.
No. A search starts with the service and location someone needs. Promotion and availability can affect placement within relevant groups, alongside the selected sort and other matching businesses. A paid subscription never guarantees first place or a constant top position, inquiries or bookings.
Use one account to manage several listings, each priced separately. A listing can also cover more than one location or service area. Another service area does not, on its own, create another listing charge.
In-app quote conversations, reference photos and inquiry notifications are planned. They are not live on this website. For now, use the contact options that are actually available, and keep sensitive images out of the website contact form.
